Freedom

A couple of years ago just out of shear boredom and life that was filled with monotony I decided to do something new in life. Ever since i knew i could study further I'v always wanted to. Until the very first day in my post grad college, I never knew why I decided to study further. A few of my now friends would probably remember that moment thinking look as this female trying to show off,  "why on earth would she come out on the podium and ask why she decided to join college?". Ain't she stupid. But guys trust me even I was looking for answers, that was a genuine question.
Today, almost at the end of my student life as a post grad student, i would say; I wanted to taste the free life again, I wanted to make the right use of the hard work that my carrier in the industry showed me I was well capable of putting forth to the right use. So make merry and have the most out of life, that i surely did. Thanks to the wonderful and unique(in there own way) friends that I made as a post grad student.
In company of a few  of my friends I decided to embark a journey of freedom and fun. So here we were the seven of us, looking forward to enjoy the weekend ahead of us.

O ye the people around us were sure wishing they could take another rider or not travel the very day the merry bunch of us decided to travel. Whiling away our time trying to know how well we knew our own classmates, catching up with the merry past that we shared. We were in a world of our own. Least did we care that the people around us would probably just looked forward for a good and peaceful night of sleep. We did need a one man army to remind us that humans normally sleep by 00:00 am.
So finally we did try to sleep in the free roller coaster ride, we did pay for a ride but a not a roller-coaster ride you c! Unaware of what we could expect in the city that none of us had ever visited in our life span(Bidara). A few of us always wanted to visit the coastal area, an island within itself. The wonderful beaches around and the scenic creation, helped by the wonderful artistry of the mortal. A few of us hadn't even heard of the place, "how would we pronounce it?" was the question they would innocently ask. Seven bubbly creatures landed in Island that a man created for himself amidst the shocking creation of the creator himself.
Freedom right in the middle of the forest with a resort all to ourselves a great get away from the concrete jungle. Most of us indulged ourselves in the swimming pool under the hot and blazing sun, unaware then; how much we would curse the weather in the time to come. A few just decided to relax and get lost in the forest, a luxury we could even rarely afford to dream of in the city life.
From here own we began our exploration of what is well known of as "Uttar Karnataka". We did have the opportunity to walk along the beach at an elevated height, mesmerized and lost in one of the few picturesque scenes that we thought only existed in the painters imagination. But alas this  was not the place we were meant to be, but who is complaining as long as we get to enjoy. After all thats something we are all here to do. This place was a view point new Kumta.
View point near Sharavati River(Kumta)
Next stop was a religious spot that a handful of us were amazed to have witnessed. Lost in the huge yet serene and  calm statue of Lord Shiva(Murdeshwara). This was not the first time I happened to visit the place, hence i decided to immerse myself in one of my favorite get away; lost in the abundance of the sea eagerly waiting for the sunset(some thing i could not witness though) and also listen to some interesting stories that my friends had to  offer.Little did I know while i was listening to the tails that I would visit another of the place that was a part of the Lord Shiva and Ravana(Lord and Devotee) tales, the Gokarna temple; where we ended up worshiping like a small family. Prayers offered as a family, a life time experience! To culminate the first day of our small trip we were looking fwd to the Indian snack, but all of us were surprised to hear that there was a "season" to get the hot Pakoda's as well! But not to worry the thela walas are always around with there unique and delicious recipes :).
Murdeshwara
We spent the night in the most natural habitat the a man was supposed to live in, with all the games and some light moments in the resort bang in the middle of the forest. Unaware that the next day would be really really long and spent in the scorching light provided by mother nature. We started our journey with the fort that we nearly missed(just a small road perpendicular to the highway that lead to Goa). Unaware that the fort was famous for some unlawful events. But we surely did enjoy wandering around the fort with its underpass and a huge well(the only one we had time to see). Something that struck me though was that the place was empty except for the one person who was busy watering the "Stone walls"!!!!!!!!!
Mirjan Fort
Now it was time for me to create my own island, the phrase "all alone in the crowd" would rightly fit in here. I was trying to recreate the million scenes that were seed of my own imagination while I was reading hundreds of those novels. To mention a few; the anticipation to see a dolphin right in the middle of the sea, the light house, walk along the beach feeling cool even when the thermometer level was sky high. I was lost in my own world trying to imbibe the million things the ocean has to tech us. Trying to get the most as well store the calm that the ocean has to offer, in my own little memory space :). I loved the time spent in the Om, Half Moon and Paradise beach.
Om Beach(try and notice the shape)
I hardly had the heart to leave, but then again I began my journey with the sole intention to fulfill a desire to visit Yana, something that I had to bottle up for half a decade. I could never miss an opportunity to visit this place could I?
On my 60Km journey from Om Beach to Yana, I finally realized that I had not only gone back to the most natural way of living that is living in the wild; but also I had successfully made myself look like a Neanderthal as well :(. On my way up the short 2km uphill walk to the naturally carved mammoth rock i was just trying to analyse my own reactions to this wonderful place. In no time I got to hear a few tales by the most patient Pojary I'v been honored to meet. En-course to the million things that had made home in the small little mind of my own, I never realized when I landed myself in one of the most unexpected pathway created right in the middle of two huge rocks. You think you could only wonder how the forest or the huge ocean ever came into existence!!!!! My mortal friend there is much more to it like this amazing place that is more than worth the climb. The amazing rocks :)

Yana
People who accompanied us on our onward journey probably thought they were the most unlucky people on earth. Well then they were really lucky they did not accompany us on the way back home. We just didnt have the energy to blow the roof off, but looking like this

and travel all night. Well need i say more :). One hell of time we had in the little transient world that we created for ourselves.

Beautiful description about a wonderful place. After reading the article and looking at pics...i cud really feel like i am right there and seeing the way u beautifully portray it. You have gorgeously put in the words to express ur thoughts and it feels gud. I dont feel at all that i havent been to that place..I am able to see the place thru ur writing. I saw 4 stars for the writing and 5 stars for the place. I cud really feel how much u cherish those moments..and as u said..its ur student life..and this is the real freedom - to see whatever u wanna see and to feel and write about it...Thats true freedom :) kudos sweety.
